Allied Van Lines Filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and Delivered My Products Late: Avoid Allied Movers!

If you’re thinking of hiring a moving company, you need to read this. I was a commercial customer of Allied Movers who was shipping hundreds of thousands of dollars of products with it, so I understand how it operates inside and out. After Allied Van Lines filed for bankruptcy, the Allied Vans went down the toilet. Allied Van Lines progressively became very late on shipments, started failing to pay back damaged claims, thereby ripping people off, and Moving Allied began losing and damaging my products at a very obscene rate. If you are thinking about hiring Allied Moving for your home move, think again.

In fact, wemust start a movement to have Allied Vans shut down! This company already has dozens of complaints already on the heavily rated Consumer Affairs account.   Here are the dozens of complaints for Allied Vans. Read them and you’ll see why you shouldn’t use movers Allied.

Allied Vans promised my products would leave its warehouse in one week, but it actually took 3-4 weeks to leave my company’s warehouse. Both the pick-up and delivery times are problematic. In fact, Allied Movers was three weeks late for the pick-up dates, then usually more than 2 weeks late on the actual delivery time.

Due to all Allied Van Lines late deliveries, my company had a 15% cancelation rate on our products and, as a result, we lost tens of thousands of dollars. Also, Allied Movers takes absolutely NO responsibility for its mistakes. In fact, Allied Vans acts like a corrupt politician everyone knows is guilty of criminal acts.

Not only did Allied Vans lose small products, but it even lost boxes as large as 10 feet by 10 feet. It would then take the company days to find it all. The company works with third party agents who very likely steal goods. Allied Vans has no control over these third parties whatsoever. I have many photos of products damaged by forklifts, yet Allied Movers takes no responsibility for Moving Allied actions, refusing to pay you back for its mistakes. 

You don’t just have to take my word for it. Other people are complaining, too. For example, this customer says the following about Allied Van Lines on Rip-Off Report.com:

"We have been trying since October 13th to get Allied Van Lines to settle our claim for the extensive amount of damage done to our furniture and to two Ducati motorcycles. They have made multiple false promises. They deliberately delay returning e-mails, phone calls or snail mail for unreasonable periods of time."

In addition, Allied Vans refused to speak with our customers and offered poor coordination with them when it finally got around to delivering our products.

The company claims to be a “white glove” company that delivers on time and with great care and effort. However, I discovered that, once an item is close to its destination, it is passed off to the third-rate, incompetent agents who do not know how to deliver anything. What a freak show! These movers Allied are all crooks, incompetent managers and rude, insensitive drivers who cannot and will not communicate with you about your issues. If you want something done proficiently, don’t look to Allied Moving.

After moving Allied delivered our products over a month late, we disputed the bill it gave us for an outrageous sum. Guess what the company then did? While our dispute occurred, Allied Van Lines held our inventory worth over tens of thousands of dollars, refusing to deliver any of it. As a result, we lost the order income we should have gotten. As you can read on Consumer Affairs and Rip-Off Reports, many customers are extremely angry and cancelling their moves with Allied Van Lines due to the company’s blackmail. Allied Vans will screw you over, too.

My products have two parts to them and every one is worth thousands of dollars. Allied Movers shipped them to customers with only one of the parts included. The error cost my company many cancellations and produced angry customers. Allied Moving Company admitted it made the mistake, claiming that a new warehouse employee screwed up. This problem occurs because Allied Vans has many shipping agents who are third party companies – huge warehouses improperly trained to handle your products. Even when you tell Allied Moving how to do it, it is impossible for the company to pass those detailed instructions to its many carriers. Yet even though Allied Van Lines admitted its mistakes, it still demanded I pay the full bill for incompetent shipping. Allied Vans is a gigantic crook!

Not only is Allied Van Lines incompetent, but its employees are moronic. They provide the worst customer service you can imagine and obviously do not care one whit about you or the items you’ve entrusted to them. I had phoned the movers Allied many times to explain the problems I was having, only to be ignored. I kept trying to get Allied Movers to make good on its promises, but to no avail. And the customer service agents wouldn’t do a thing to help.

Here is a complaint basically agreeing with my claims about Allied Vans:

“Allied Mover's claims services is a joke; they do not call back, our claim has not been settled, they got all the items mixed up. Some one needs to get a hold of this company and do something.”

The company also employs rude and inconsiderate drivers. They would deliver our products to people by blocking their driveways, infuriating the customers. This made it virtually impossible for these poor people to get their products where they wanted them to be. In fact, we had many complaints about this, yet were powerless to do anything about it. It was all Allied Movers fault.

Here is another complaint about the rude, thieving drivers of Allied Van Lines:

"Six years ago Allied Van Lines moved my daughter from Michigan to Scottsdale AZ, and it was a really bad experience for us. The driver wanted 450 extra to off load her when he could have gone in the back way of the apartment complex. He chose not to and wanted this additional fee up front or her things would wind up in storage.”

In all, no one should entrust goods of any sort to Allied Vans. The company will inevitably lose or destroy them. Allied Van Lines is a shady company – do not use it! You’ll be very sorry if you do!
